Activating Circular Collaborations

COIL is bringing businesses and organizations together with the best circular thought-leaders in the region and county to advance, activate and share innovative ideas across the food and environment sectors.

Circular Innovation CoLab and Circular Demonstration Projects

Starting in summer 2021, COIL will launch a series of innovation challenges looking for the best ideas for how we can redesign supply chains in the food and environment sectors to reduce waste and transform existing linear business practices.

The teams with the best submissions (made up of 3-7 businesses and collaborators) will be funded through our CoLab process to work with mentors and experts to build out their idea, create a prototype and pitch how the solution would work at full scale.

The best 5 proposals will be provided up to $100,000 to launch full scale Demonstration Projects.

Learnings and successes will be documented and shared to help other organizations gain value from, and build upon, the experience of the demonstration projects.

Our first challenge and demonstration project will address the community benefits of circular systems by supporting businesses, not-for-profits and social enterprises that are working to solve food system, environment and food security challenges.
